HOW SHOULD WE
SUPPORT THOSE WHO SELF-HARM?
the scars:
Seeing beyond

ABOUT the documentary
Seeing Beyond The Scars is a radio documentary looking into how friends and family should be supporting those who self-harm.

This documentary will be my exploration of the issue, in which we will hear from those who have been affected by self-harm, as well as professionals.
As a friend of someone who self-harms, I wanted to hear stories from people across the nation about how they dealt with self-harm, and how their friends and family supported them through to recovery.

This radio documentary is part of my final year major project, where I will be taking an in-depth look at the subject of self-harming, and exploring and finding out how we should be supporting those who self-harm.
